So. Fox in Virginia-Highland is Atlanta's one new Michelin star for 2026. Uberto in Gay also got a star, and Summerland won a Bib Gourmand. The Georgia list.

So. Fox, a wine-focused restaurant in Virginia-Highland, has earned a Michelin star. It is the only new star in Atlanta in the 2026 Michelin Guide American South, which the guide revealed this week at The Pinnacle in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, according to Michelin North America’s announcement.

A second Georgia restaurant, Uberto in the small town of Gay, also received a star. Michelin said Uberto is about an hour from Atlanta. The two additions bring Georgia to 10 one-star restaurants, eight of them inside the city of Atlanta.

Every Atlanta restaurant that held a star in 2025 kept it. No restaurant in the region was given a second or third star this year; Emeril’s in New Orleans remains the only two-star restaurant in the American South guide.

The six new Georgia distinctions

Michelin’s 2026 tables mark six Georgia restaurants as new to the guide or to a higher tier:

Restaurant Distinction Address
So. Fox One Michelin Star 1017 N. Highland Ave. NE, Atlanta
Uberto Restaurant One Michelin Star 2 Jimmy Clark Road, Gay
Summerland Bib Gourmand 1385 Collier Road, Atlanta
Tipsy Thaiger Bib Gourmand 605 Atlanta St., Roswell
Pink Lotus Recommended 976 Brady Ave. NW, Suite 110, Atlanta
Spring 2nd Branch Recommended 113 Church St., Marietta

A Bib Gourmand is Michelin’s label for good food at a moderate price. “Recommended” restaurants are in the guide without a star or Bib.

Tipsy Thaiger is in Roswell, about 20 miles north of downtown. Spring 2nd Branch is in Marietta, about 17 miles northwest, which is also home to the starred Spring.

About So. Fox

Chef Myles Moody and sommelier Rachael Pack run So. Fox, Michelin said. The name refers to the Southern Fox, a muscadine grape, and wine is central to the restaurant.

The guide’s inspectors describe a seasonal tasting menu with Southern-leaning cooking. They singled out corn dumplings with lump crab as “beautifully fragrant, original and flawlessly executed.” The guide lists So. Fox as contemporary American at its $$$ price level.

About Uberto

Uberto is part of the World of Quercus resort, where chef Ryan Smith serves a farm-focused tasting menu, Michelin said. It is open Friday and Saturday evenings, and hotel guests can book additional meals.

Michelin also picked Smith as one of two chefs featured in Mindful Voices, a program it started this year for chefs and hoteliers changing how their industries work. The guide said Uberto grows more than 90% of its produce on its own regenerative farm, which runs entirely on solar power and uses no chemical pesticides or herbicides.
