What each market says about itself

East Atlanta Village runs Thursday evenings, rain or shine. Its organizer, Community Farmers Markets, says street parking is available on Stokeswood Avenue and around the neighborhood, and in the lot behind the Midway Pub.

Freedom Farmers Market sits at the Carter Center, steps from the Freedom Park Trail, and is run by an independent board, the market says. It is open every Saturday all year.

Peachtree Road Farmers Market meets at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Buckhead on Saturdays from March 7 to Dec. 19 this year. Phone: 404-365-1105.

The Green Market in Piedmont Park is run by the Piedmont Park Conservancy every Saturday from the last weekend in March to the second weekend in December, except during the park’s largest festivals. The Conservancy says there is no parking at the market itself; Midtown and Arts Center MARTA stations are nearby.

Grant Park Farmers Market is held every Sunday at the Beacon ATL, rain or shine, year-round, closing only on Dec. 28, 2026.

Using SNAP/EBT

The Green Market and the Grant Park and East Atlanta Village markets take part in Georgia Fresh for Less, run with Wholesome Wave Georgia. Swipe your EBT card at the market tent and the market matches the amount in tokens for fruits and vegetables; at the Green Market, swiping $10 gets $10 in EBT tokens and $10 in fruit and vegetable tokens, the Conservancy explains. Peachtree Road Farmers Market says it accepts EBT.

What this means for you

  • Saturday morning offers the most choice, with three markets.
  • Piedmont Park’s and Peachtree Road’s seasons end in mid-December; Freedom and Grant Park run all winter.
  • Bring your EBT card: three of these markets double what you spend on produce.
