New food businesses in Atlanta, from county health permit records: Loop, Four Oh Four Burgers, Khao Centennial Yards and more, August to October 2026.

Last checked Oct. 6, 2026. This is the first monthly roundup. Every item comes from a public record: the Fulton County food service inspection database, run with the Georgia Department of Public Health. A first inspection means a new food service permit; it can mark a new business, a new location or a change of owner. The roundup is rebuilt each month.

Before a restaurant, cafe, food truck or kitchen can serve the public in Atlanta, Fulton County Environmental Health inspects it under a new permit. That first inspection is public, which makes the county’s database one of the earliest records of a new food business. Below are Atlanta businesses whose first inspection on record fell between Aug. 6 and Oct. 5, 2026.

Method

We searched the county database for food service establishments with an Atlanta mailing address inspected between Sept. 6 and Oct. 6, 2026, then checked each recently created permit’s full inspection history and kept those with no inspection on record before Aug. 1, 2026. We left out addresses in ZIP codes that are mostly outside the city, such as 30328, 30337 and 30349, employee-only cafeterias, and food trucks and caterers based at shared commissary kitchens, which do not serve the public at that address. A new permit can follow a change of ownership, so a listing here does not always mean a brand-new business; we say “first inspection” for that reason.
